Hey you lovely british girls :)
I'm in the middle of betaing a fic and something caught my intention. Is the phrase "bar tender" used to term someone who serves drinks at a pub? Is it pub tender or something else entirely? Thanks, as always ;).

I'm not 100% sure because I'm not British; just a Brit-geek, but I think they call him a barman. There is a terrific website that might help you out at
http://www.effingpot.com/index.shtml. He explains clothes, food, slang and more. It might be a bit outdated - it's been around for a few years, and I don't know how often it gets updated.

I'll have to take a look at that site, thanks :). I've also heard barkeep quite often as well.

Thankfully it was a woman but I think if it is a man: barman and I've also heard barkeep.

Hahaha, I didn't even know the American word for it, so please don't feel silly; we're all using the idioms we're mostly familiar with :)

You're quite welcome. Anytime.
